While the recent tragic landslides have temporarily closed Holden Village in Washington state, the essence of Holden Village is coming to Minnesota this summer. “Holden Pilgrimage on the Prairie” is a collaboration between Holden Village and Shalom Hill Farm to be hosted at the beautiful prairie setting of
Shalom Hill Farm in Windom, Minnesota.
This five day retreat will offer a wealth of opportunities to gather for communal worship, creative expression, and faith exploration. Following the program tradition of Holden Village, there will be five nights of Evening Vespers including the beloved Holden Evening Prayer and other music created at Holden Village. Newer liturgical compositions, written specifically for Shalom Hill Farm, will also be featured.
Program Opportunities
The Daily schedule will include 4 activity blocks, with options for you to chose between great programing from experts, artists, and Holden/SHF staff.

Opportunities will include watercolor painting, poetry workshops, exploring natural dyes, pick up choirs, yoga, and more that will celebrate faith and spirituality in the context of prairie and in a community shaped by the traditions of Holden and SHF
Daily Rhythms
Liturgical, musical prayer and worship sessions will provide the basic daily structure as the community will come back together to enjoy powerful sessions each wet to original, unique compositions from either Holden Village or SHF while the times between will be filled with options and opportunities, we will always join back together for: Morning Prayer

Accomodations
The community formed at Holden Pilgrimage on the Prairie event is even more important than the excellent programing that will be provided. In order to facilitate this community and create opportunities for more people to attend this retreat, we are planning on housing two people in each room at Shalom Hill Farm.

Registration will offer opportunities to indicate if you are signing up with somebody or have a preferred roommate
Registration Fees
All-inclusive Registration cost: $650

Commuter Registration cost: $400

Both all-inclusive, and commuter registration fees include:

All-Inclusive registration fee also includes access to a shared room and shared private shower.
